Talk about anything

This season’s winter handicap tournament will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday 5th January 2019.

Everyone will be given a handicap which, as in golf, means that all players should have an equal chance of winning.

The exact format of the competition will depend on how many people are able to come along. All matches are played during one afternoon so the winner is decided on the day. We are usually finished by about 4:30pm.

All members are welcome. If any country members from far away are in town and want to play, then just come along. We will have a spare racket.

Last year, Michael Macari walked away with the trophy after beating Clive Shannon in the final.

The January mini-leagues have been published.

Let's see if we can get a higher percentage of matches played than the Grange get. Come on WTNs.

Entries are open for this season's over-50s competition for over-50 year olds.

Sent your name and contact details to me (unless someone else wants to run this, please, please, please).

And we will get it all finished by Friday 3rd May 2019.

Good to see some new youngsters having a bash, as well as a few not-so-young familiar faces.

I have read through the report on the SKN Central Scotland Regional Masters tournament that was held at the picturesque former Spa Town at the Bridge of Allan Sports Club on 9/10 February.

Apparently Paul Jenkins is "yet to play his best squash in 2019".

Also this weekend, it is the Scottish Students Sport individual squash competitions -

I really should have known this after playing Aberdeen Uni last Saturday. But then there was the post-squash rugby-watching that may have killed a few brain cells.
